Got a board game you’ve been dying to play? Or maybe you're looking for a spontaneous new game to dive into? The Board Game Room is the place to connect with fellow gamers! Bring your favorite game, or come by to join someone else’s group for a round or two of fun.
There’ll be some scheduled events–including a Flip 7 demo, a “Classics” Board Game Meetup, and a Magic PreRelease tournament–to name some. A few special events ask for advanced sign ups, but most of them you can sign up for, or just join in, once you are there.
The Days of Knights and other board gamers will bring a wide variety of games that they are willing to share during the RelaxiCon, so there’s no excuse for not stopping in to play!
Plus… Door Prizes! Yes, we’ll be giving away door prizes during every Game Slot! If you participate in any board game, you’ll get a raffle ticket for an opportunity to win a door prize. Win a game and your chances will increase!

Flip 7 Demo & Game
Friday Night 9pm - ?, 20-30 minutes/game | Flip 7 card game
Flip 7 is a "press-your-luck" meets "strategy" card game that is simple to learn, but beware, it can be addictive. Are you the type of player who plays it safe and banks points before you bust, or are you willing to risk it all and go for the bonus points by flipping over 7 in a row? This event includes a short demo to explain the ridiculously simple rules of Flip 7, followed by a game or games of 3-8 players that you can vie for a cool prize! Sign up at the Board Game Room.
Sponsored by The Days of Knights, DOKs will provide a dealer for the game. It’s easy to learn (a bit like "Can't Stop") and can run with large or small groups. One game takes about 20-30 minutes to play.

Indulge in donuts, snacks, and coffee as you fill out your free raffle slips for a chance to win nerdy giveaways and prizes! Come to mingle…or engage in some gaming trivia/games… or just grab a donut and make your grand exit—we’re not judging!

It’s Pre-Release weekend for Takir Dragonstorm, Magic’s newest set. The set promises to take Takir to bigger and better heights with cinematic action, dynamic clan play, and powerful new dragons. The Takir Dragonstorm Pre-Release gives you the first opportunity to see and play with the set's new cards.
Each Magic player gets a Pre-Release kit featuring 6 Dragonstorm booster packs plus SWAG. You’ll form your deck from the boosters and compete in at least 2 rounds of play to determine the 3 top competitors. (Number of rounds depends on the number of players.)

There are already people ready to teach Cribbage and Backgammon, but if you have another game you want to either play with "professionals" or teach to get more people to love the game you love, let Renee know. We'll do our best to accommodate during the Saturday morning game period and beyond!

Omicron Protocol

In the year 2050, the utopian city of San Lazaro was crippled by a mysterious virus. Quarantined and cut off from the rest of the world, the survivors band together in order to escape the city before they, too, succumb to the infection. The only things standing between you and salvation are rival factions looking to accomplish their own mysterious goals amid this chaos — and the CyMS (Cyber-Memetic Sociopaths), once-ordinary people who have grown maddeningly violent and unpredictable due to the virus.
Omicron Protocol is a skirmish miniatures game set in a near cyberpunk future. It is intra-apocalyptic, as it is while the apocalyptic event is happening. Players will play one of 4 factions fighting to gather information about how it started.

Step into the dark and mysterious world of Blood on the Clocktower for an afternoon of deception, strategy, and fun as you work to uncover hidden roles and outwit your fellow players. Multiple games will be run throughout the time slot, featuring different editions of the game to keep things fresh and exciting.

Games require a few volunteers to participate at a time, but the audience is encouraged to join in the fun and cheer on the contestants. Participation is key, so expect the unexpected—audience involvement could lead to some wacky surprises!
