2016 was a fantastic year! It was one of the most relaxing Relaxicons we've had in years. We had a fun Styx, harrassing (er, I mean roasting) our own beloved Lawrence. There was even a very special black tutu, which none shall soon forget. Or ever. Even with therapy, I suspect. We had a wonderful year, played all the games, welcomed new friends and made new memories with the old ones. Hail on next year, I say!
Here are the games we played:

Game Description :The distant planet of Chekhov IX has been all but abandoned by the Kagakatsu Corporation, who claimed the rights to the planet after a protracted military showdown with Armistead Incorporated and Albright Industries. At one point the planet was of great strategic import to all 3 major corporations, but since new star routes have been found the planet has lost much of its luster and value. Since Kagakatsu has pulled most of their financial support and business out of the planet it since has become somewhat of a shell of its former self. Our story happens during an eventful night at one of the few remaining local watering holes, “Station 13”.
A game inspired by works such as the “Firefly” series, “Total Recall”, “Bladerunner”, “The Hateful Eight”, and as always “Clue”.

Featured Game: Hocus Focus
This is the Dresden Files module for Fiasco. Fiasco is a storytelling/improv based game where character connections, motivations and key items are generated though a collaborative/quasi-random series of charts. From there, players run through a series of scenes, building the story as they go. Halfway through, they encounter a random event (‘the Tilt’) which sends things wildly out of control. While the core game is designed for a Fargo-esque group of inept criminals, this module’s charts allow the players to take upon the role of villains-of-the-week and the Tilt is how Harry Dresden ruins you day (and your nefarious plans.) While Fiasco can be played with three or five players, it works best with four and I want to play myself. That being said, if necessary I’m willing to provide a voice for Dresden and other supporting characters.Game Master(s) : Ed Modugno

A Star Once Fallen
TABLE-TOP RPG, OPEN LEGEND RPG
Game Description :
You thought the job would be easy. Hitch a ride on a trading vessel, protect it from pirates, and earn a few gold and a free trip to the City of Sails. All in a day’s work for an adventurer like yourself. But there’s not much your swords and arrows and spells can do against a typhoon. You don’t remember much – the flash of lightning, the howl of wind, the doomful crack of the mast as it split down the middle – but one memory stands out perfectly in your mind.
Traveling aboard the ship was a fortune teller, an old hag that was great aunt to the captain or something like that. On the night before the typhoon struck, she told your fortune, and her words are emblazoned in your memory:
A star once fallen upon the land, Brings sword and axe and spell at hand. For planted deep like evil seed It fills heart, soul, and mind with greed.
Shoulders broad and voices tiny Ceaseless war of clashing armies. In sleep, the beauty whispers well, But her wormtongue song is ever fell.
A royal staff in hands upright Shall end the long, eternal fight. But try you might, and try you may The star will fall another day.
The tone of this game is very epic, light-hearted, Indiana Jones-ish, and sandbox-esque. Players will be focused on learning a new game and exploring the world.Game Master(s) : Brian Feister
