Labor Day LARP 2026
September 4th-6th
Glen Mills, PA

The year is 20XX, and the future is now. Three ingenious inventors have plugged in the city to technology that far surpasses that of any other power in the world. In this society the city is truly a shining beacon on a hill ruled over by those that control the Tower.

They are not without their troubles. AI* and robots have taken many of the jobs of humans, and many of the humans have become junkies from plugging themselves into the virtual reality system known as 'The Network'. But there is no resisting the will of the Tower...or is there?

Inspirations: 2001: A Space Odyssey, Bladerunner, The Matrix, Battlestar Galactica, Ready Player One, Tron, Westworld, V for Vendetta, 13th Floor

FAQ: When/Where is this Event?

Schedule:

    • Friday, September 4th: 7 p.m. (Opening/Rules Briefing) until Midnight

    • Saturday, September 5th: 10 a.m. until Midnight with a Lunch and Dinner break

    • Sunday, September 6th: Starting after hotel check-out (11 a.m.) until around 3 p.m.

      • Note that while the event is officially over by Sunday at 4 p.m., folks are often around unofficially to hang out and/or board game into Monday.

  • Information about Registration/Check-in desk opening, Volunteer/Decorating, and in-game schedule, will be released as it becomes available (this summer).

Hotel/Transportation:

  • The LARP will be at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Glen Mills/Concordville PA!

    • Address for mapping: 1110 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA 19342

  • Hotel Pricing will be similar to our last few events: around $110-140 per night (before taxes/fees) depending on dates/room type. Final pricing and reservation link will be available at Registration.
    • WE DO NOT RECOMMEND trying to book your room through an alternative service such as Expedia, Travelocity, etc. ahead of time. Neither we nor the staff at the Comfort Inn are able to help with any reservations made with services outside the hotel reservation link/block.

    • Booking in our block saves you money AND helps keep our Registration prices down for future events. Thank you!

    • Note that some room types, such as suites, will have limited availability due to their popularity.

  • The Comfort Inn is located close to the Philadelphia Airport (PHL), about 18 miles away, and within the vicinity of some Amtrak Stations (Wilmington DE, Philadelphia PA, local SEPTA at Wawa Station).
    • However, the hotel is NOT reachable without some kind of car transportation/ rideshare/taxi service from these locations. We recommend planning your transportation ahead of the weekend. We have also had people post in our Discord/Facebook for rideshares (DC, MA, NJ, etc.) or rides from the airport.

Hey… Are y'all using AI?

All narratives associated with this LARP (characters, plotlines, worldbuilding, in-game materials, and playtests) are created by human writers and designers. While we may use digital tools for spellcheck, formatting, and accessibility, all of the writing, creative direction, and storytelling are entirely human-driven. We work hard with creative people to bring this world to life. All artwork, past, present, and (dystopian) future, is commissioned artwork (out of Pete's pocket).

Note that while we can’t guarantee complete verification of every contributor, we make every effort to communicate
our expectation is that they don’t use AI and that their work reflects genuine, original craftsmanship. The GM Team has been in constant conversation about this topic; keeping our game human is a principle that matters to us, both in the world we build and the way we build it.
Especially in this story.

There is also no AI intentionally used in the design/on-site production, administration, website, or social media of this event; even if most of these platforms want to convince us to use it (ugh), we turn it off/disable it where possible. Everything your registration fee and participation goes to is a labor of love by passionate folk who believe in supporting original, creative game writing and experiences.
